My Design Philosophy: Tetris

Tetris has been my favorite game since I was ten. You don’t choose the pieces—you adapt, rotate, and hard-drop within constraints to clear lines—so I treat design the same way: let the rules focus the solution. I balance structure, material, and kinematics with budget, manufacturability, and aesthetics until everything “locks” into place. I prefer ideas that can actually be made—fabricated, assembled, and serviced—then refine the form around that functionality. Like moving to reach the next piece, I iterate quickly and decisively, letting function guide beauty so the final product scores: it works, it makes sense, and it looks right.
