My Design Philosophy: TETRIS

Tetris has been my favorite game since I was ten. You don’t choose the pieces—you adapt, rotate, and drop them within constraints to clear the board. I approach design the same way: let the rules shape the solution. I balance structure, material, and kinematics with manufacturability, budget, and aesthetics until everything “locks” into place. I’m drawn to ideas that can actually be built—fabricated, assembled, and maintained—then refined until form follows function seamlessly. Like shifting to reach the next Tetris piece, I iterate quickly and decisively, letting function guide beauty until the final design feels inevitable: it looks good; it feels right; and it actually works.
